Terms of use

Last updated: January 2026

By using PlainCalc (the “Site”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

1. Educational use only

The calculators, articles, and data on the Site are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and no professional-client relationship is created by using the Site. Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and simplified assumptions. Always verify important figures with a qualified professional or the relevant institution before making decisions.

2. Accuracy

We work hard to keep formulas correct and reference data (tax brackets, rates, limits) current, and we state the year data was verified where relevant. However, laws and rates change, and errors can occur. The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlainCalc and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or reliance on any result or content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Site for personal and internal business purposes. You may not scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Site’s content or code, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Linking to any page is welcome.

5. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, text, and code are owned by PlainCalc or its licensors and protected by copyright. Calculation results you generate are yours to use freely.

6. Third-party services and links

The Site displays advertisements and may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.

7. Changes

We may modify the Site or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which PlainCalc is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
